Neuro Trauma Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a Neuro Trauma Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care in line with the department's standards and state specialty regulations.
About the Role- You will assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying any changes in their status and reporting them promptly.
- You will perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- You will provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- You will educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures.
- A graduate degree from a school of nursing with an ADN or BSN is required.
- A valid registered professional nurse license in the state(s) of practice is necessary, along with an active compact license (if applicable).
- BLS certification is required upon hire.
- At least one year of RN experience is required, excluding clinical rotations completed as part of the degree.
- Prior experience in a similar-sized facility with similar services provided is preferred.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility located in Johnson County, Kansas. We offer competitive salaries, which include a base salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional compensation packages.
