About The Opportunity
The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a skilled Pediatric Behavioral Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Department of Pediatrics, this individual will play a crucial role in providing care to pediatric patients with common behavioral issues in childhood and adolescence.
Responsibilities
This specialist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with internalizing and externalizing disorders, as well as teaching graduate-level learners from various disciplines within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate should have training and experience in Young Child Mental Health, evaluation and treatment of severe mental illness in children and adolescence, dialectical behavior therapy, young child behavior management, and screening and treatment for suicide and self-harm in children.
Requirements
The successful candidate must hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology with Children and be a licensed psychologist (LP). Additionally, they must hold a current license from the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board (BSRB) or be license eligible.
