Position Summary:

The Financial Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities of our Nuclear Fuel Services (NFS) division. This position involves the meticulous analysis of financial data, the formulation of budgets, and the provision of precise financial reports to upper management. The Financial Operations Manager will work collaboratively with various departments to optimize production costs and enhance profitability while ensuring adherence to all financial regulations and company policies.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the overall operations of the accounting department.
  • Conduct staff planning, performance evaluations, and budgeting processes for the team.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for the accounting division.
  • Oversee the execution of the financial accounting cycle.
  • Design and enhance financial systems to meet organizational needs.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver timely financial reports for the organization.
  • Assess and evaluate all aspects of the capital assets program.
  • Ensure financial statements are compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial reporting, financial systems management, and leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting and cost management.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen without dual citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is competitive and will be determined based on local market conditions and the candidate's qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors. The total compensation package may also include additional incentives and a comprehensive benefits program.
