Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Advisor to join our team at Verduyn Tarps. As a Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our repair/service shop and retail store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide top-notch customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle in-bound calls, counter sales, and repair services for cargo equipment, tarps, and other truck and trailer accessories.
  • Analyze damages to customer tarp systems, produce accurate quotes and work orders, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Manage inventory, restock merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Operate cash registers, follow established cash handling procedures, and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective customer service strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, promotions, and industry developments to provide expert advice to customers.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of the trucking industry and cargo equipment is a plus.
  • Previous experience in automotive service or repair is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift, load, and unload merchandise.
  • Reliable transportation is required.

Verduyn Tarps is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the flatbed trucking industry since 1986. We manufacture and install Retractable Tarp Systems and operate a repair/service shop and retail store for cargo equipment, tarps, and other truck and trailer accessories.
