Key Responsibilities- Compliance Monitoring and Oversight: Conduct regular monitoring and oversight to identify and remediate potential risks.
- Compliance Reviews and Remediation: Perform compliance reviews and remediation projects in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. Prepare workpapers that accurately document testing results and overall adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Regulatory Research and Analysis: Research insurance regulations and laws and analyze and interpret regulatory compliance requirements. Update procedures and processes in response to regulatory changes as appropriate.
- Communication and Advisory Services: Assist in communicating to impacted business units and support teams compliance requirements, regulatory changes, and regulatory actions. Advise business units and support teams regarding regulatory implications of business decisions and the implementation of controls to mitigate risk.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. 4-6 years related experience.
- Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of the life insurance industry, including product types, and state insurance laws and regulations.
- Compliance Expertise: Proven experience conducting compliance assessments of compliance and regulatory risk.
- Certifications: LOMA - Associate, Insurance Regulatory and Compliance (AIRC) designation within 1-1/2 years.
