Job Overview:

This role is essential in providing exceptional service to our customers and donors while maintaining the operational standards of our retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and assist all customers and donors, ensuring their needs are met with prompt and courteous service.
  2. Prepare and organize priced merchandise for display on the sales floor in alignment with organizational standards.
  3. Sort and process donations according to established guidelines.
  4. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment by performing assigned cleaning tasks.
  5. Adhere to all point-of-sale policies and procedures.
  6. Ensure safety protocols are followed and report any potential hazards to management.
  7. Comply with all human resources policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in mandatory monthly team meetings.
  9. Follow the dress code as per organizational policies.
  10. Be flexible with work schedules to ensure adequate coverage, including evenings and weekends.
  11. Accurately receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory.
  12. Conduct quality checks on products to identify defects or damages.
  13. Maintain cleanliness around donation areas at the start and end of each shift.
  14. Assist donors with the unloading of items and provide receipts as needed.
  15. Sort and categorize donated materials appropriately.
  16. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills: Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members.

Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications: Must pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
