Key Responsibilities:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments accurately under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
- Maintain precise records of patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record system.
- Assist in the clinical training of new therapists and students.
- Support the scheduling of patient appointments and ensure accurate billing information is submitted.
- Prepare custom molds and cut blocks as needed for treatment.
- Perform simple mu calculations and interpret computerized treatment plans.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
- ARRT certification is required, along with a valid state license for radiation therapy.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this role include regular sitting and the use of hands for tasks. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching are necessary, along with the ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Vision and hearing must be corrected to normal ranges.
