Job Summary
The Cardiac Surgery Advanced Practice Clinician position at Jefferson Health is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled clinician to join our team. This role involves coordinating and managing the outpatient cardiac surgery service in conjunction with attending surgeons.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the Cardiac Surgery Clinic, providing care to outpatients, pre and postoperative heart surgery patients.
- Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit.
- Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures.
- Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff, and physicians.
- Assist in data collection for research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic.
- Maintain communication with other clinical services.
Qualifications
- NCCPA certification or National Certification as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is required.
- 2 years' experience in a CCU/Cardiac Surgery setting is preferred.
- Pennsylvania State license for physician assistant or CRNP is required.
