Position Overview:
The Senior Healthcare Recruiter for Physicians plays a pivotal role in the physician recruitment strategy at PIH Health.

This position encompasses the entire recruitment lifecycle, including defining sourcing strategies, identifying qualified candidates, evaluating cultural and role alignment, and preparing and negotiating offers and contracts in collaboration with department leaders and executive teams.

The Recruiter is instrumental in crafting strategic and comprehensive recruitment plans that align with the organization’s objectives and needs.

Success in this role requires a profound understanding of the physician recruitment landscape, coupled with the ability to think both strategically and creatively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and collaboratively to achieve recruitment objectives.
- Demonstrate proven leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills to foster relationships with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Exhibit strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Assess and enhance recruitment processes for continuous improvement.

This role involves significant collaboration with the Vice President of Medical Group Operations, Department Chairs, Chiefs, and the President of the Medical Group.

Essential Skills:
- Attend residency recruitment events and national job fairs to connect with potential candidates.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews to evaluate candidate fit within the organization.

Provide a high-touch, personalized recruitment experience for physician candidates, ensuring a seamless transition from initial contact through onboarding, while nurturing strong relationships tailored to the unique needs of each candidate.

Collaborate with department leaders to devise and implement effective recruitment strategies across various specialties.

- Integrate approaches to attract candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Manage the recruitment process with open communication among candidates, hiring managers, physician leadership, and relevant agencies.

- Facilitate feedback collection from interviewers and share results.
- Conduct professional reference checks and participate in the candidate offer process.
- Prepare and process physician contracts for approval and present offers.

Additionally, the Senior Healthcare Recruiter contributes to the development of strategic recruitment plans that meet organizational goals.

- Formulate innovative strategies to address competitive challenges in the recruitment market and adapt sourcing methods.
- Proficiently utilize Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software to oversee the recruitment process.
- Familiarity with recruitment technologies (CRM, LinkedIn, Recruiter, Boolean, Sourcing Tools) is essential.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- This is a fully onsite position.
- A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in physician recruitment within hospitals or health systems is essential.
- A proven track record of successfully recruiting physicians is necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Ability to travel nationally for recruitment events is a must.
- Strong professionalism and presentation skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) is advantageous.
- Experience working with senior leadership and/or physician leadership is preferred.
