Job Overview:

This Senior Firmware Development Manager role involves overseeing the entire team's deliverables and quality of work. Key responsibilities include handling resource assignment and work scheduling, reporting two weeks ahead for any team member to take vacation or annual leave, and arranging coverage to ensure business operations are not impacted.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage entire team's deliverables and quality of work
  • Assign resources and schedule work

  • Arrange coverage to ensure business operations are not impacted
  • Screen, onboard, train, and regularly check new team members
  • Triage initial escalations and monitor issue reports
  • Gather feedback from leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Fulfill resource gaps when team members are on leave

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of engineering experience
  • 2-5 years of program management experience
  • BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in low-level embedded C firmware development and hardware interaction
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
