Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Process and manage invoices using our ERP system.
    • Handle contracts and billing for clients, including annual insurance and tax billings.
    • Perform weekly bank deposits and manage related documentation.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Process electronic invoices and ensure proper documentation (POs, packing slips).
    • Conduct weekly check runs and manage invoice volumes.
    • Streamline and improve AP processes.
  • Deposits and Payments:
    • Conduct bi-weekly bank visits for deposits.
    • Post payments received via various methods (wire, checks, credit card).
    • Ensure accurate entry and separation of duties in the payment process.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Maintain aging reports and alert management to any issues.
    • Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level position; previous clerical accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting software.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for bank visits.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
