Key Responsibilities:

As the Bulk Manager, you will oversee the upkeep, packaging, and stocking of all bulk food items available at Sprouts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing the merchandising Bulk plan and ensuring your team accurately packages and weighs bulk items, fills bulk bins, and prepares, wraps, and prices bulk packages correctly.
  • Managing inventory orders, rotating products based on code dates, and adhering to the company's cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company and governmental safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL regulations.
  • Communicating standards, expectations, policy updates, and product knowledge to team members.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a clean and organized Bulk area at all times.
  • Receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise as necessary throughout the day.
  • Engaging with team members through coaching, feedback, and development discussions, and making recommendations for merit increases during performance reviews.
  • Participating in in-store meetings regularly.
  • Collaborating with the Store Manager on recruitment, hiring, and promotion decisions.
  • Addressing team member concerns with confidence and independent judgment.
  • Documenting corrective actions when necessary and working with business and HR partners on performance management.
  • Maximizing productivity and efficiency by adjusting schedules and staffing levels as needed.
  • Leading a team dedicated to delivering high-quality products, exceptional service, and a remarkable customer experience.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Bulk Manager position, candidates must:
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery setting and at least 1 year of managerial experience.
  • Be reliable and flexible, with the ability to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Have knowledge of weekly promotional items and assist customers in locating products throughout the store.
  • Be capable of lifting and moving products weighing up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods.
  • Exhibit a friendly demeanor and a positive attitude towards team members and customers.
  • Be prepared to perform additional related duties as assigned.
