Job Overview

Our Home is currently in search of a Utility I/Forklift Operator. In this position, you will be tasked with operating a forklift to efficiently move, stack, and load/unload materials within our facility. Additionally, you will engage in various utility responsibilities to assist production and warehouse operations, and may cover roles in different manufacturing departments, pending necessary training.

We seek a committed individual with prior forklift operation experience who thrives in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a strong dedication to maintaining a safe and productive workplace. The standard work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 3:10 PM to 11:55 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pending training, you may substitute in the following roles:
    • Lineperson and packaging room duties
    • Peeler operator for processing potatoes
    • Warehouse tasks including order pulling with pallet jack and forklift, product labeling, and stickering
  • Perform various cleaning tasks as assigned
    • End-of-week clean-up in the frying room, including windows and floors
  • Oversee end-of-day sanitation and clean-up, including Saturday boil-out and clean-up as required
  • Utilize Lock Out Tag Out procedures to ensure safe operations
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and work safely at all times
  • Report any unsafe equipment or practices to the supervisor
  • Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Must be able to stand for the entire duration of the shift
  • Ability to learn various tasks and adapt to different roles daily
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to pivot and change tasks with minimal notice
