The Pharmacy Technician provides critical support to the Pharmacy Department, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of medications. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management
- Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical companies, medical supply vendors, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state, and federal regulations, and Joint Commission standards
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting excellent customer service and teamwork
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- AZ pharmacy technician license required on hire
- PTCB certification required on hire
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Effective human relations skills for interfacing with team members, staff, physicians, patients, and families
