Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician provides critical support to our Pharmacy Department, ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain optimal levels of pharmaceutical inventory through effective purchasing procedures
• Develop and maintain external contacts with pharmaceutical companies, medical supply companies, and other healthcare professionals
• Perform specific activities required to handle medications in an effective and timely manner
• Assure accurate storage and delivery of needed medications
• Conform to hospital and department policies, as well as state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards

Requirements:

• AZ pharmacy technician license required on hire
• PTCB certification required on hire
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment
