Position Summary:

Gem Team Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled CAD Supervisor to lead their CAD team towards enhanced productivity and innovation. This pivotal role involves taking charge of the CAD department, focusing on the utilization of AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault for designing industrial control panels. You will manage a team of CAD Designers, coordinating technical efforts, refining design methodologies, and maintaining the highest standards of design quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and documentation of electrical schematics, PI&Ds, and panel layouts.
  • Establish and uphold standards and procedures to ensure CAD integrity and compliance.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving productivity, including customizations and automated quality checks.
  • Oversee the transition of CAD data to production CNC machinery, enhancing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct training sessions on corporate CAD standards, software updates, and best practices to enhance internal capabilities.
  • Provide production and technical support for all CAD-related software inquiries.
  • Organize regular CAD group meetings to share updates and effectively allocate resources.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A solid educational foundation with a minimum two-year degree in CAD Technology.
  • Extensive experience, with at least 10 years in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical, demonstrating your expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience in UL508A Control Panel Design.
  • A leadership style that embodies servant-leadership, focusing on guidance and mentorship within the team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • A natural ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or focus.
