Job Summary

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a key member of our cardiovascular department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of echocardiograms, including transthoracic and transesophageal studies, to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine echocardiograms, including TTE and TEE, using advanced ultrasound equipment
  • Record and evaluate anatomical, pathological, and functional data
  • Communicate significant findings to attending physicians
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely patient care
  • Participate in departmental projects and shared governance activities
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved education program in cardiovascular sonography
  • Successful completion of a clinical rotation in cardiovascular echo sonography or six months of cardiac sonographer experience
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent certification
