Compensation: $34.98-$59.26/hr (based on years of experience) + $10k sign-on bonus

Essential Qualifications:

  • Vocational/Technical Diploma from an AMA accredited institution in Radiologic Technology
  • Associate of Science in Radiologic Science
  • A minimum of 6 months of relevant clinical experience
  • BLS certification
  • ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) certification
  • Cardiac Interventional Certification in Vascular Interventional (VI), Cardiac-Interventional (CI), or (CVT) Certified Vascular Technologist must be obtained within 18 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current experience in interventional angiography is highly desirable.

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is looking for an Angiography/Interventional Radiology Technologist to become part of a dedicated team at a reputable healthcare facility. In this role, you will conduct neuro and vascular interventional examinations following established protocols, under the guidance of the attending radiologist. Your work will align with all relevant laws, regulations, and the operational standards of the healthcare system.

As part of one of the largest healthcare networks in the Baltimore-Washington metro area, recognized for its commitment to employee wellness, you will be engaged in the following key duties:

  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for conducting radiographic studies, ensuring the correct exam is performed on the appropriate patient at the designated time. Prepare examination rooms, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready before each case. Execute imaging sequences digitally in accordance with prescribed protocols, utilizing correct exposure techniques and patient identification markers while following safety and waste disposal protocols.
  • Assist in managing patient flow within the Interventional Radiology Lab to enhance productivity and minimize patient wait times before, during, and after procedures. Collaborate with Technical Aides to ensure efficient room turnover.
  • Coordinate with Patient Financial Associates to streamline the registration of radiology exams, minimizing delays and addressing potential safety concerns for outpatient services. Review billing codes with the Radiologist post-procedure to ensure alignment between hospital and professional fees.
  • Provide essential information to patients and their families regarding procedures and address any inquiries they may have. Maintain interventional radiology equipment, adhering to safety requirements and reporting any necessary repairs.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized between cases and that supplies are stocked at appropriate levels. Assist the technical supervisor in developing and implementing lab policies, in-service training, and continuing education programs to enhance the skills and performance of technologists.
