Cafeteria Worker Job Description

Marion Independent School District is seeking a skilled Cafeteria Worker to join our team. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food according to a planned menu and recipes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to high standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Handle and record cashier functions accurately.
  • Assist with food requisitions and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain daily food preparation records.
Requirements:
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic math and handle cash transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control under stress.
Working Conditions:

The Cafeteria Worker will work in a commercial kitchen environment, exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, and noise. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting moderate weights.
