Position Overview

The Residential Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appeal of our properties. Reporting directly to the Property Manager and under the guidance of the Service Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring that vacant apartments and shared spaces are impeccably clean and ready for prospective residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive daily cleaning assignments and gather necessary supplies for each designated unit.
  • Thoroughly clean vacant apartments, which includes disinfecting appliances and bathrooms, mopping floors, and cleaning all surfaces, including windows and woodwork.
  • Utilize a checklist to confirm that all cleaning tasks are completed to standard.
  • Inspect completed apartments for any areas that may require additional attention.
  • Maintain cleanliness in model apartments to ensure they are presentable for tours.
  • Attend to other facilities on the property, including the office, laundry rooms, fitness center, and clubhouse, as scheduled.
  • Ensure public restrooms are clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the property.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to clean apartments and facilities following established procedures.
  • Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to carry cleaning supplies up and down stairs.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions in English.
  • Capability to read and comprehend cleaning product instructions.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning methods and products.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with property management, staff, and residents.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of physical activity throughout the workday.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role requires the employee to engage in various physical activities, including sitting, standing, bending, and walking. Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders, as well as lifting up to 25 pounds independently and 35 pounds with assistance, is necessary. The work environment is primarily indoors, with exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals, and occasional outdoor tasks.
