Position Overview

The Residential Cleaner plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our properties. Reporting directly to the Property Manager and under the guidance of the Service Manager, this position involves thorough cleaning of vacant apartments and shared spaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive daily cleaning assignments and prepare necessary supplies for each designated area.
  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of vacant apartments, including disinfecting appliances and bathrooms, mopping floors, and cleaning all surfaces.
  • Utilize a checklist to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to standard.
  • Inspect completed work for any areas needing additional attention.
  • Maintain model apartments in pristine condition for prospective residents.
  • Clean additional facilities on the property, such as the office, laundry rooms, fitness center, and public restrooms as required.
  • Complete other related tasks as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven ability to clean and maintain facilities according to established protocols.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience in housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial roles.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning products and their appropriate uses.
  • Understanding of effective household cleaning techniques.
  • Strong communication skills with property management, staff, and residents.
  • Capacity to consistently meet physical demands throughout the workday.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role requires the ability to perform essential functions such as sitting, standing, bending, and walking. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently and up to 35 pounds with assistance. The work environment primarily involves indoor settings with potential exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals, as well as occasional outdoor tasks.
