Job Title: WIC Qualified Nutritionist

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled WIC Qualified Nutritionist to join our team in Newburgh, NY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nutrition services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The WIC Qualified Nutritionist will conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, develop individualized care plans, and provide education and counseling to participants. You will also be responsible for overseeing high-risk care participants, referring them to other health-related and social services as needed, and prescribing, tailoring, authorizing, and reissuing food packages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide education and counseling to participants on nutrition and health-related topics
  • Oversee high-risk care participants and refer them to other health-related and social services as needed
  • Prescribe, tailor, authorize, and reissue food packages
  • Develop and implement nutrition training for LA staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor and Program Director
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Dietetics, or Foods and Nutrition from a regionally accredited college or university, or one recognized by New York State Education Department.
