WIC Qualified Nutritionist

Cornerstone Family Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled WIC Qualified Nutritionist to join our team in Newburgh, NY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nutrition services to our patients, including breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and counseling.

• Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans for high-risk patients
• Provide breastfeeding support and education to new mothers, including lactation counseling and breast pump management
• Develop and implement nutrition education programs for patients and staff
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes, and make adjustments to care plans as needed
• Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve patient outcomes

• Bachelor's degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Dietetics, or Foods and Nutrition
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nutrition setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in electronic health records and other software applications
