About the Role:
As a Product Engineer at Corning Incorporated, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our Optical Communications segment. This segment has evolved to provide comprehensive optical solutions across the broader communications industry, classified into two main product groupings: carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data, and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments, and individuals for their own use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering skills and knowledge to serve as the product experts and design owners globally responsible for product integrity, reliability, and change control of released products.
- Participate on product teams to resolve performance and customer-related issues; Supports project execution between development and plant manufacturing as an impartial 3rd party with the expertise to balance risks between business demands and product assurance.
- Leading and organizing projects/tasks with cross-functional groups.
Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering or Physics Degree, or higher in Engineering discipline.
- Strong Preference for Optical Fiber Component Experience.
