Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at OakBend Medical Center. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to patients in various settings.
About the Role
- Assist with patient care activities such as collecting blood samples, administering medication, and EKG monitoring.
- Provide clerical and receptionist support for patient care units.
- Transport patients and assist with daily living activities.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum of one year's experience as a medical aide; two years preferred.
- Current certification as a Medication Aide through the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic clinical skills and data entry/computer skills required.
- Ability to perform EKG monitoring and venipunctures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
Salary and Benefits
$40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
