About This Role

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our team at Caregiver, Inc.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly rate for this position is estimated at $12.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist consumers in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining skills, housekeeping skills, social skills, and community access.
  • Provide direct support and training to consumers as specified in their individualized support plans and activity schedules.
  • Aid individuals with mobility needs using wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
  • Assist with bedroom maintenance and teach housekeeping skills and care of clothing.
  • Support meal service, teach dining skills, and promote social skills and personal dignity during meals.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Act as a Primary Person (P2) for one or more consumers, ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
  • Attend and complete in-service training sessions as scheduled.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor to fellow Direct Support Professionals.
  • Collect data, observation notes, and daily reports as directed by agency policy and procedure.
Qualifications
  • A high school education or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supporting/assisting individuals with disabilities is beneficial.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
