EMT-B Waynesboro/Chambersburg Full-Time Nights Position

WellSpan Health is seeking a highly skilled EMT-B to join our team in Waynesboro/Chambersburg. As a Full-Time Nights EMT-B, you will be responsible for responding to EMS calls, providing patient care, and working collaboratively with our team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency and routine transport calls, observing safety policies and operating emergency vehicles with due regard for others.
Provide health care instruction and education to patients and family members.
Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and assist in patient assessment.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and treatment.
Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles and assess and interpret patient age-specific data.
Provide direct patient care to assigned patient age groups and demonstrate a commitment to patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
Provide outstanding service to all customers, foster teamwork, and practice fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
Requirements:
Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) or Certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A) upon hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets WellSpan Risk Management requirements.
Completion of the Emergency Vehicle Operator's Course upon hire.
Work Environment:
Occupational hazards may be present, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens is possible.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies as needed.
