Electrical Designer II Job Description

At Trane Technologies, we're committed to creating innovative climate solutions for a sustainable world. As an Electrical Designer II, you'll play a crucial role in designing control and power electrical systems for our Arctic product line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical schematics and models for new products and design-to-order electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior personnel.
  • Travel to various locations to support products and train other personnel (approximately 5% of the time).

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Design from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of design experience or 5+ years of Trane or Climate Solutions practical experience.
  • Working knowledge of computer-aided graphic systems and 3D electrical harness design experience.
  • PTC Creo skillset and electrical schematic understanding preferred.
