Responsibilities
Instructors will be responsible for:
- Conducting face-to-face classes during scheduled times, which may include evenings or weekends.
- Delivering course content effectively and engagingly.
- Creating and grading assignments, as well as providing timely feedback to students.
- Assessing student learning outcomes in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Compensation
Adjunct faculty compensation is based on academic credentials and credit hour course loads, with rates varying according to the following:
- Terminal Degree, plus 12 hours of college teaching experience: $1,058.60 per credit hour
- Terminal Degree, less than 12 hours of college teaching experience: $1,016.06 per credit hour
- Master's Degree, plus 12 hours of college teaching experience: $969.76 per credit hour
- Master's Degree, less than 12 hours of college teaching experience: $920.95 per credit hour
- Bachelor's Degree, plus 12 hours of college teaching experience: $920.95 per credit hour
- Bachelor's Degree, less than 12 hours of college teaching experience: $881.92 per credit hour
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master's Degree in the relevant discipline or subfield.
- A master's degree or higher in a different discipline, along with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant field.
- PhD, ABD, or EdD in the relevant discipline.
- At least one year of successful teaching experience at the community college level.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.
