ABOUT US
The Urban Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Programs (UMADAOP) is committed to delivering comprehensive, culturally relevant, evidence-based prevention, treatment, recovery, reentry, and educational services tailored for the African and Hispanic American communities in Hamilton County. Our approach integrates proven data and community support to promote holistic recovery, aiming to strengthen the health and resilience of our communities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
- Direct the formulation and execution of operational strategies, objectives, and plans.
- Oversee the creation of the annual budget and the implementation of the operational business plan.
- Guide the development and realization of the organization’s purpose, vision, and mission, ensuring safety, clinical excellence, and robust financial performance.
- Steer the long-term strategic planning and governance framework as established by the Board of Directors.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with community, county, and state agencies.
- Identify and secure funding sources to support the organization’s initiatives.
Staff Management
- Ensure effective recruitment, retention, support, and development of professional staff.
- Guide staff to achieve:
- Financial and budgetary objectives.
- Clinical performance targets.
- Prevention program outcomes.
Cultural Development
- Promote a work environment that values transparency, collaboration, and adherence to the agency's mission and vision.
- Evaluate and recommend practices to enhance performance on quality measures and support organizational improvement initiatives.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure services are responsive to community needs and represent the agency positively at various events.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of corporate documents to maintain compliance with accreditation standards.
- Ensure efficient and effective organizational operations, including:
- Service delivery and information systems.
- Risk management and compliance.
- Scheduling and records management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background
- Master's degree in Business, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Independently licensed in Social Work, Addiction/Prevention, or a related Mental Health field is a plus; supervisory experience is advantageous.
Executive Experience
- Extensive experience in personnel management, budgeting, public relations, fiscal management, and staff development.
- Proven track record in implementing operational strategies, business plans, and financial goals.
- Strong understanding of regulatory best practices.
- Financial acumen with the ability to analyze and communicate complex financial issues effectively.
Skills
- Exceptional persuasive and presentation abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Adept at building relationships across diverse groups and forming strategic partnerships.
- Strategic thinker with critical problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR), with knowledge of CareLogic EHR Platform being an asset.
