Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Wind Technician to join our team at EDF Renewables North America. As a Wind Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Operate and care for company property and equipment in an efficient and safe manner
  • Change gearbox oil, grease, and torque wind turbines
  • Service turbines based on the type of turbine and manufacturer
  • Perform status checks, including clearing error codes and repairing problems
  • Replace mechanical components and service blade and hub components as required
  • Complete daily work orders, time cards, and other required paperwork
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience and/or training on Vestas Turbines preferred
  • Knowledge of basic circuits and electrical fundamentals
  • Experience working with high voltage
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including on-call and weekend work
