We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
Responsibilities- Provide patient-centered care, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and engagement with diverse populations.
- Collaborate with inter-professional colleagues to deliver exemplary care and develop lifelong relationships with patients and families.
- Initiate referrals and discharge planning, actively coordinating the plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
- Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care.
- Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Mobilize appropriate resources in response to situations that have the potential to negatively impact patient and family outcomes.
- Assess patient and family readiness to learn, and individualize the approach as necessary.
- Work collaboratively to develop strategies to meet the learning needs of the patient and family.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- Good communication skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with patient care equipment.
- Certifications/education required for the nursing specialty.
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to patient needs and working at a fast pace. The ability to transport objects, patients, and equipment is required. The nurse will also be exposed to potentially infectious specimens and patients.
The ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance is required. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when the patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
