Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Materials Assembler to join our team at Siemens Mobility in Louisville, KY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate with planners, supervisors, and peers to ensure seamless material movement.
  • Pull and issue parts for shop order kits, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Distribute shop orders to the production floor upon completion, maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency.
  • Update overflow location counts in our SAP system, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Update material location in SAP for parts, streamlining our inventory management process.
  • Print labels for bags and boxes for materials, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Unload, receive, verify, and count material delivered to the stockroom, ensuring accurate inventory levels.
  • Cross-training will be required to cover business needs, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform cycle counting of all material in the stockroom, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Warehouse experience with materials, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.
  • SAP experience is helpful but not mandatory, with a strong understanding of inventory management and logistics.
  • Familiarity with cycle counts and material management, including location management.
  • Frequently required to use fine motor skills, assembling small parts with excellent dexterity.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Use hand and power shop tools, with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • Interact with and display professional conduct with customers and coworkers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and respect.
  • Meet internal company standards for quality and workmanship, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform 5S activities and maintain equipment in accurate working order, and improve work area cleanliness.
  • Perform work safely and healthily, ensuring deviations to standard work instructions that will lead to quality, efficiency, or safety problems are immediately identified.
  • May be required to work overtime, weekends, and different shifts as vital to meet business-critical requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Cross-training will be required to cover business needs, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
