Key Responsibilities- Manage incoming calls and assist in scheduling patient appointments.
- Effectively register patients upon arrival, ensuring all pertinent information is collected accurately.
- Scan and upload necessary documents into the patient's electronic record.
- Communicate with insurance providers to send required notifications.
- Conduct pre-registration through phone interactions.
- Provide courteous and professional service to all patients.
- Request and obtain medical records for new or referred patients.
- Confirm that all necessary insurance authorizations and referrals are documented prior to patient visits.
- Regularly update patient information, including contact details and insurance coverage.
- Ensure all front office forms are current and properly organized, including new patient documentation.
- Collect co-payments and outstanding balances at the time of service, accurately posting to accounts and daily logs.
- Balance the cash drawer at the conclusion of each shift.
- Assist patients with inquiries related to insurance, billing, and other account-related questions, directing them to certified personnel when necessary.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures, including dress code and workplace conduct.
- Prepare patient charts in accordance with established protocols.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Licenses & Certifications:
Required: C-Heartsaver Certification
Preferred: C-BLS Certification
