Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Clinical Manager and in collaboration with the school principal, the Non-Licensed Clinician is tasked with delivering a variety of therapeutic services to children and adolescents within the assigned educational institutions. Responsibilities encompass individual and group therapy, support for school climate, trauma-informed care and education, teacher assistance, and referrals to additional services as necessary. This role also involves collaboration with Pathways therapists, child and adolescent programs, case managers, and medication providers as required.
The Non-Licensed Clinician organizes a weekly schedule in partnership with the Clinical Manager and School Principal, committing to eight hours per day, five days a week during the academic year. Availability for on-call duties outside the academic year may be required based on the needs of the organization and school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides education, support, and care to clients and families in a culturally responsive and competent manner.
  • Adheres to HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Serves children, adolescents, and families at the designated school(s).
  • Delivers effective outpatient interventions and therapeutic services for students identified by the clinician, school, or family, with parental consent.
  • Conducts intake assessments and coordinates referrals for additional services, including individual therapy, medication evaluations, group therapy, and case management.
  • Facilitates in-service training and consultations for faculty and staff as needed.
  • Monitors and coordinates follow-up services provided to clients and families.
  • Completes all necessary documentation promptly.
  • Reports work activities to the Clinical Manager and School Principal as required.
  • Collaborates with school and agency personnel, parents, therapists, physicians, and case managers effectively.
  • Participates in scheduled staffing or supervision, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning and best practices in client care.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or the agency.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Master's degree required.
  • Preferred: Master's in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Other master's degrees must include at least two years of experience with vulnerable and resilient children and youth.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Any additional certifications or training as required by the school or agency.
  • Emergency behavior management training must be completed within the orientation period and maintained throughout employment.
Experience:
  • Preferred experience working with vulnerable and resilient populations.
  • Preferred experience with children and youth in both individual and group settings.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Exhibits professional written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Shows eagerness to learn and implement new technologies and behavioral interventions.
  • Understands adverse childhood experiences and their impact on children's health and well-being, applying best practices for trauma-sensitive care.
