Diagnostic Sonographer

As a Diagnostic Sonographer at Big Bend Regional Medical Center, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment. Your expertise will help evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data, ensuring accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.

• Schedule and coordinate tests, record test results, and maintain operational logs
• Calibrate and maintain equipment, ordering supplies as needed
• Work under general supervision, relying on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Perform a variety of tasks, requiring a certain degree of creativity and latitude

• Requires a two-year allied health degree
• Successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology
• At least 2 years of experience in the field
• Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
