We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate and manage donor reactions, which occurs at the facility, and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Manage donor deferral, reviews test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
- Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI) and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed.
- Graduate of a recognized educational program.
- Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
