Your Role in Financial Lines

AIG General Insurance stands as a premier provider of insurance solutions, dedicated to assisting both commercial and personal clients in managing their risks. Our extensive portfolio is delivered through a diverse, multi-channel distribution network, including one of the most expansive property casualty networks globally.

Key Responsibilities

+ This position offers a chance to foster profitable growth in Financial Lines by developing innovative solutions for intricate risks. You will manage the underwriting of various new and renewal accounts, leveraging your established relationship-building abilities.

+ You will collaborate closely with brokers to articulate our risk appetite and value proposition, while also gaining insights into the deal structures, terms, and products that best align with client requirements. This includes negotiating pricing, terms & conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.

+ Generating new business will be crucial, achieved by expanding your broker network, participating in broker events, and cultivating new market relationships. You will work in conjunction with AIG Distribution, territory managers, and underwriters from other lines of business to pursue desirable accounts and cross-selling opportunities.

+ As a senior member of the team, you will exemplify exceptional customer service standards for brokers and clients, setting a benchmark for junior colleagues. Additionally, you will offer guidance, mentorship, and training to less-experienced underwriters, assisting them in developing their broker networks.

Qualifications for Success

+ Demonstrated underwriting experience with a solid understanding of Financial Lines product offerings.

+ Proficiency in analyzing financial statements.

+ Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.

+ Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

+ Customer and sales-oriented attributes: motivated, persistent, focused, technically adept, proactive, and accountable.

+ A willingness to engage in mentoring and training, even if you have not previously held these responsibilities.
