Job Description

As a Speech Language Pathologist with Valence Care Family of Home Care Companies, you will work closely with patients who require speech and language rehabilitation services. Your expertise will enable patients to improve their communication skills and achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assess patients' speech and language abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  2. Develop individualized plans of care that address patients' unique needs and goals.
  3. Provide rehabilitative services to patients, including speech therapy and language intervention.
  4. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification of clinical competence in speech pathology granted by American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Current registration to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
  • At least one year of supervised institutional and one year home care experience preferred.
