Position Overview:

As a Law Enforcement Officer, you will be tasked with maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. Candidates can apply for the following categories:

  • Correctional Deputy: Applicants must possess a valid California Standards and Training for Corrections (STC) certification.
  • Deputy Sheriff - Lateral: This category is for individuals currently serving as sworn peace officers in California who have completed their probationary period.
  • Deputy Sheriff - Pre-Service: Candidates must have graduated from a California POST-certified academy and hold an active POST certification.

Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  • Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
