The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking vital signs and noting chief complaints.
- Set up examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain and prepare supplies and equipment for treatments, ensuring proper sterilization.
- Keep examination rooms and back areas organized, clean, and disinfected.
- Assist physicians in preparing for office procedures, following their directives for patient treatment.
- Administer medications for injections and immunizations as per physician orders.
- Conduct in-house point of care tests.
- Support annual wellness visits and help achieve preventative screening goals for patients.
- Assist in processing pharmacy requests as directed by physicians.
- Manage supply inventory and submit requests as needed.
- Facilitate authorizations and orders for patient care continuity as instructed by physicians.
- Handle patient calls and prior authorizations while managing patient interactions.
- Assist with completion of necessary forms for FMLA, State Disability, etc.
- Maintain patient files, records, and relevant information.
- Participate in required meetings and professional development activities.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to all Medical Assistant competencies.
- In a spirit of collaboration, employees are expected to follow additional job-related instructions and perform other related duties as required.
