We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon to join our team at UnityPoint Health in Fort Dodge, IA. As a part-time physician, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and provide high-quality patient care.

About the Role

This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with dedicated administrative time, allowing you to focus on patient care and professional development. You will work alongside an established team of 4 physicians and 1 Advanced Practitioner, providing a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care, averaging 18-20 patients per clinic day
  • Participate in shared call rotation, ensuring a fair and manageable workload
  • Perform scopes and other surgical procedures as needed
  • Offer outreach services and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of the practice, bringing your unique skills and interests to the table
  • Work collaboratively with the team to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Surgery
  • Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician's field of practice
  • Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
  • J-1 waiver sponsorship available
