**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a Medical Assistant Observationist to join our team at Trinity Health. As an Observation Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

**Responsibilities:

  • Collect and report patient information and data
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing, dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility, and ambulation
  • Patient transport
  • Collection of specimens
  • Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
  • Deliver ice and beverages to patients
  • Monitor patient safety as assigned

**Requirements:**

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A Connecticut-approved Nurse Aide Training Program is preferred, or currently earning a BA in Nursing or Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed, or significant previous healthcare experience
  • Proof of college transcript required or significant nurse assistant/healthcare experience is necessary
  • Certification: BLS certification required
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting is preferred
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
