West Point Veneer is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our company's operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various production and facility equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, and replacing filters.
  • Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or precision measuring instruments.
Requirements:
  • Equipment maintenance knowledge, including machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Mathematics knowledge, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Production and processing knowledge, including raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • English and Spanish proficiency.
  • Relevant education and/or experience.
  • On-the-job training offered.
Work Environment:

Prolonged periods of standing or walking. Must be able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
