Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and cultivate personal insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Build and sustain exceptional relationships with clients and prospects through consistent follow-ups, precise and timely quotations, and comprehensive account support. Proactively address and respond to all client needs.
- Engage in active prospecting for comprehensive accounts, seek increases in existing client coverage, and network for new clientele, including previous clients.
- Secure optimal coverage and rates for clients, process quotes, and finalize insurance coverage; follow up as necessary with inspections, photographs, and other required documentation. Present policies to clients and educate them on coverage options and pricing.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular follow-ups, timely quotations, and overall account support.
- Assist clients in preparation for renewals and retention, ensuring robust client relationships are upheld.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on essential metrics to guarantee sales objectives are met and ensure sales activity documentation is completed accurately and professionally.
- Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, provide expertise, and participate in both formal and informal meetings as necessary.
- Engage in continuing education and maintain required certifications while staying informed about industry trends, new product offerings, legislation, coverages, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
Qualifications:
- Possess the necessary insurance license as mandated by your state, with a minimum of two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, along with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of insurance products, rating processes, underwriting practices, coverages, and industry operations to effectively attract new business and maintain existing client relationships.
- Demonstrate a proven history of success in business-to-business sales. Possess strong skills in presentation, persuasion, and negotiation with the ability to close sales effectively.
- Be client-oriented, focused on customer satisfaction, and assertive in developing new client relationships while servicing current clients.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, capable of completing complex tasks independently, sound business judgment, strong decision-making abilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess excellent time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
