Industrial Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Shamrock Foods Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance procedures on all facilities and equipment, working with electromechanical technicians to diagnose problems and prevent excessive downtime, and helping to direct, train, and support maintenance mechanic positions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe working environment and report any concerns to the lead person or supervisor.
- Work independently and alongside electromechanical technicians to troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, including sorters, conveyors, and cranes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment, including daily systems inspections of mechanical and electrical components.
- Identify problems requiring outside vendors and inform the lead or supervisor.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunction and determine the need for adjustment or repair.
- Assemble and test operate machines to verify correction of malfunction.
- Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on power lift equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and high-pressure air systems.
- Monitor, report, and document the usage and replacement of equipment and parts.
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties.
- Clean work areas as needed and at the end of the day.
- High school diploma or GED preferred; 5 years of mechanical, electrical, and general maintenance experience in a distribution center or industrial environment targeting one or more of the following: material handling equipment, power lift equipment, electronic/electrical installation and equipment diagnosis, or facilities maintenance.
- Certification and operation of ARC and MIG Welding equipment, including OXY/ACETYLENE and PLASMA, welding and cutting.
- Ability to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and occasionally climbs a ladder or works on a platform. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
