About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse RN to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to neonates and infants in our state-of-the-art NICU. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to neonates and infants in the NICU, including assessments, interventions, and education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Recognize and respond promptly and appropriately to acute changes in neonate/infant's condition, as well as respond appropriately to emergency situations in the NICU and other hospital departments.
  • Provide support and teaching to the family unit, including education on neonatal care and development.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, utilizing verbal and written skills.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
  • Current BLS certification
  • At least one year of NICU RN experience preferred
