Job Summary

As a Construction Inspector with Michael Baker International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues
  • Verify compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve issues and ensure project completion
  • Develop and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Provide expert advice on construction methods, materials, and best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in construction inspection, bridge, and/or highway inspection
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SharePlus
  • NCDOT certifications

Compensation

The approximate compensation range for this position is $28/hr - $46/hr. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
