Position Overview

This role is essential in delivering accounting proficiency, support, and guidance to the Accounting Manager, Controller, and Chief Financial Officer. Responsibilities include preparing accounting entries, overseeing accounts, documenting financial transactions, engaging in the annual financial audit process, enforcing internal controls, managing payment processes, handling employee expense reports, and providing financial insights and reports to management and Corporate HQ. This position also involves evaluating and managing income and expenditure accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Compile and analyze account information to prepare entries for asset, liability, and capital accounts, ensuring adherence to sound business practices.
  2. Oversee income and expenditure accounts, confirming accuracy of balances and transactions in accordance with policies and accounting standards.
  3. Document financial transactions through precise entry of account information.
  4. Participate actively in month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of closing transactions.
  5. Engage in financial audits, collaborating with auditors and the accounting team to fulfill audit requirements.
  6. Adhere to internal controls and ensure compliance with control processes and policies by others.
  7. Process employee expense reports, verifying accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  8. Review and authorize company documents related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring payment requests are verified and processed correctly.
  9. Prepare and submit monthly and/or quarterly Sales and Use tax reports, Machinery and Equipment tax reports, annual Property tax filings, and other relevant tax documentation.
  10. Generate monthly reports and other financial data for management and the CFO, including insights on inventory and aging of accounts receivable.
  11. Oversee the posting of inventory and goods received.
  12. Manage company assets using SAP.
  13. May undertake special projects or assignments as required.
  14. Collaborate closely with external auditors and tax preparers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a focus on accounting.
  • Two years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Fluency in Korean is highly preferred.
  • Ability to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities is required.
