Job Overview

The Sr. State Government Account Executive role is a hybrid position that focuses on customer life cycle management, supporting the growth of State and Local Government accounts. This role requires selling to State and Local accounts, renewing contracts, increasing customer satisfaction, and driving revenue while maintaining customer retention activity.

This new business development position involves prospecting and hunting for new business opportunities. The successful candidate will use contact lists to call leads and generate sales opportunities, exceeding monthly sales, renewal, and churn target goals.

A key responsibility of this role is establishing and nurturing customer relationships to drive sales and increase the customer base. The candidate will also be responsible for completing business customer account maintenance, providing account analysis to determine up-sell and renewal offers, resolving customer issues, and tracking individual account activity and results.

The ideal candidate will have extensive data entry, system navigation, and utilization experience, as well as the ability to perform independent analysis and make sophisticated decisions related to information. They will also maintain knowledge of products, services, and sales approaches through continuous training and utilize automated knowledge systems and training tools to deliver outstanding service.

In terms of qualifications, the successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 4 years of selling experience to Government (State and Local) accounts, preferably in State Government accounts. They will also have 2 years of extensive business client service experience and 2 years of business sales experience. Additionally, they will have wireless industry sales experience and telesales or technical sales experience preferred.

The estimated salary for this role is $89,000 to $110,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
